Swanston Family Ventures provides early stage funding for promising startups at the pre-seed, seed, and Series A stages. At Swanston Family Ventures, we are driven by a passion for supporting underrepresented founders, with 75% of our capital dedicated to empowering minority and female entrepreneurs.
Founded by André and Michelle Swanston, our mission is to level the playing field and foster diversity in the startup ecosystem. We believe that true innovation knows no boundaries and that every great idea deserves a chance to thrive. By actively seeking out and investing in underrepresented founders, we aim to create a more inclusive and equitable entrepreneurial landscape.
With a deep understanding of the challenges faced by entrepreneurs, we provide not only capital but also invaluable mentorship, guidance and network access. We believe in building long-term partnerships and supporting our portfolio companies throughout their journey to success.
Our typical startup investments range from $50K to $250K - with the ability to do more through other vehicles. We are generalist investors, but the majority of the positions we take are across areas where we have knowledge and/or networks that can increase the likeliness of success for our founders.
